Tesla Cybertruck in Ahmedabad: Stainless Steel Built for Gujarat's Sun and Open Highways

Overview

Ahmedabad is a city of contrasts. The Old City's pols and carved havelis sit a short drive from the glass towers of SG Highway and the planned avenues of GIFT City. Its entrepreneurs, from textile dynasties to new-age founders, are famously sharp with money, yet the city's appetite for luxury cars has grown quickly. The Tesla Cybertruck fits neatly into that duality: it is extravagant to look at and surprisingly rational to run.

The truck available through Big Boy Toyz is the Cyberbeast, Tesla's top Cybertruck. Three electric motors combine for 845 hp (630 kW), it reaches 60 mph in 2.6 seconds, and its EPA range is about 515 km. Its outer body is an Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless steel exoskeleton with Tesla Armor Glass. The design was first shown in 2019, and US deliveries began in November 2023. Gujarat already has a small connection to the story: a Cybertruck was reported on the roads of Surat in 2025.

Tesla entered the Indian market in July 2025 with the Model Y, and the Cybertruck is missing from Tesla India's range. BBT's Cyberbeast costs ₹3.99 crore, imported and unregistered, and registration is handled in the buyer's own name, with BBT's people able to explain the process for Gujarat.

Big Boy Toyz has a showroom in Lal Darwaja, in Ahmedabad's Old City, and the team there can arrange a viewing of the Cyberbeast and walk you through its import and ownership records. For owners in Bodakdev, Thaltej, Prahlad Nagar or Bopal, the Cybertruck's silent drivetrain, air suspension and large lockable bed make it as comfortable on Sindhu Bhavan Road as on a long run down the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway. Contact BBT Ahmedabad to arrange a viewing.

Model Features

For a buyer who likes to know exactly what they are paying for, the Cyberbeast's specification is unusually rich. These are its key features as offered to Ahmedabad buyers through BBT.

  • Tri-motor drivetrain: a single front motor and two rear motors produce 845 hp (630 kW).
  • Pace: 2.6 seconds from rest to 60 mph, with a top speed of roughly 209 km/h.
  • Range: about 515 km on the EPA test, from a battery of around 123 kWh.
  • Stainless exoskeleton: Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled steel panels, left unpainted, which also serve as part of the structure.
  • Armor Glass: Tesla's impact-resistant glass, useful against debris on highways.
  • Steer-by-wire: no steering column; around 340 degrees takes the wheel from one lock to the other.
  • Rear steering: the back wheels steer by up to 10 degrees for a tighter turning circle.
  • Adaptive air suspension: raises ground clearance to about 443 mm when needed.
  • 800V architecture: two 400V halves, supporting up to 325 kW DC on Tesla's V4 hardware in the US, plus 11.5 kW AC.
  • 48V low-voltage system: lighter wiring and simpler electronics.
  • Powershare: 120V and 240V outlets delivering up to 9.6 kW, with 11.5 kW vehicle-to-home capability in its home market.
  • Load and towing: a lockable 6 by 4 foot vault of about 67 cubic feet, a 7 cubic foot frunk, payload of around 1,134 kg and towing of up to 11,000 lb (about 4,990 kg).

It is a list that reads more like an aerospace brief than a pickup brochure, and that is a large part of its appeal.

Variants

Tesla's Cybertruck range has been adjusted several times since 2023. The present US line-up has three members:

  • Dual Motor AWD: 600 hp, 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, around 523 km of range, coil springs with adaptive dampers and a 7,500 lb towing capacity.
  • Premium AWD: 600 hp plus air suspension, a 9.4-inch rear screen, 15 speakers and 11,000 lb towing capacity.
  • Cyberbeast: three motors, 845 hp, 2.6 seconds to 60 mph, air suspension and roughly 515 km of range.

The Foundation Series, with its special badges and bundled extras, was available until January 2025. A Long Range RWD variant was sold only from April to September 2025, and a range extender option was cancelled in 2025. The Cyberbeast is the flagship and the version that carries the Cybertruck's headline figures.

Colours

There is no colour choice at the factory. Each Cybertruck is finished in brushed stainless steel and nothing else, with no paint applied. In a city where summer temperatures regularly climb past 40°C and paint can suffer under the sun, that is a practical advantage. For colour or extra protection, owners use paint protection film, including Tesla's own options:

  • Satin Clear: an invisible layer that preserves the steel's natural look.
  • Satin Stealth Black: dramatic, though it will absorb more heat in an Ahmedabad May.
  • Satin Abyss Blue: a rich, deep blue.
  • Forest Green: a natural tone for trips toward Gir or Polo Forest.
  • Satin Rose Gold: a festive choice, very much at home during Navratri.

For most owners here, Satin Clear makes the most sense, keeping the raw steel character while guarding against dust and fingerprints.

Fuel Efficiency and Mileage

The Cybertruck uses electricity alone, so an Ahmedabad owner measures it by range and charging rather than kilometres per litre. The Cyberbeast's EPA range is about 515 km. Ahmedabad's climate is the biggest real-world influence: from April to June the city is among the hottest in India, and the air-conditioning and battery cooling will draw a noticeable share of energy. Steady high-speed cruising on the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway also reduces range, while slower city traffic on Ashram Road or CG Road benefits from regenerative braking.

  • AC charging at home: the truck accepts up to 11.5 kW. Owners in bungalows in Bodakdev, Satellite or Shilaj, or farmhouses on the city's edges, will normally do almost all their charging on a wallbox installed by a qualified electrician.
  • DC fast charging: in the US, Tesla's V4 hardware delivers up to 325 kW, adding about 215 km in roughly 15 minutes. This truck has the North American (NACS) inlet, and Indian public fast chargers use a different plug, so assume nothing about public charging compatibility.

BBT's after-sales team can advise on a suitable home-charging arrangement. Gujarat's strong rooftop solar culture also makes home charging an appealing fit for many owners.

Design and Comfort

The Cybertruck's design is all straight lines and flat surfaces. Stainless steel panels meet at hard creases, the roof rises to a sharp apex, and slim light bars run across both ends. Parked outside a café on Sindhu Bhavan Road or in front of a heritage haveli in the Old City, it creates an instant crowd.

Its size is considerable. The Cyberbeast is roughly 5,683 mm long, 2,032 mm wide and 1,796 mm tall, with a 3,635 mm wheelbase and a weight of about 3,130 kg. Western Ahmedabad is well suited to it: SG Highway, the Sardar Patel Ring Road and the newer neighbourhoods have generous roads. The Old City's pols and Manek Chowk's lanes are not places to take a truck this wide. Up to 10 degrees of rear-wheel steering makes a real difference in car parks and at tight junctions.

The cabin is open and calm. A large glass roof brightens the space, five adults sit in comfort, and the flat rear floor gives the middle passenger real room. There is a lockable vault bed beneath the powered tonneau, a frunk for soft bags and a hidden compartment under the rear seat base.

Adaptive air suspension gives a smooth ride over Ahmedabad's speed breakers and uneven patches, and its ability to lift ground clearance to about 443 mm helps when monsoon downpours flood underpasses. As always, no vehicle should be driven into water of unknown depth.

Performance & Engine

Three motors sit at the heart of the Cyberbeast, one on the front axle and two on the rear. Their combined 845 hp (630 kW) launches the truck to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds and carries it on to about 209 km/h. With no engine, no gearbox and no exhaust, the acceleration is eerily quiet, which only makes it more dramatic.

Ahmedabad's road network gives the Cybertruck plenty of room to show its responsiveness. Merging onto the Sardar Patel Ring Road, overtaking on the expressway to Vadodara, or the long, straight highways leading toward Kutch all suit a vehicle that responds instantly. On the way to Gandhinagar or GIFT City, the effortless pace makes the daily commute feel shorter.

The steer-by-wire system does away with the steering column. Sensors read the driver's inputs and actuators turn the wheels, which allows a variable ratio needing only about 340 degrees from lock to lock. Paired with rear-wheel steering of up to 10 degrees, it gives the truck a much tighter turning circle than its length would suggest. Drivers usually adapt within a day.

The adaptive air suspension adjusts ride height for highways, city streets and rough terrain, and the Cyberbeast is rated to tow up to 11,000 lb (approximately 4,990 kg). For a business owner who needs to move equipment to a farm or factory site, or a family taking a trailer to a weekend retreat, that capability is genuinely useful.

Interior & Technology

Like every Tesla, the Cybertruck is run from a large central display. The 18.5-inch touchscreen controls climate, entertainment, driving settings, suspension height and the tonneau. Rear passengers have a 9.4-inch screen, and 15 speakers provide the audio.

  • Expansive glass roof: brings in light, though a sunshade is all but essential in Ahmedabad's summer.
  • 48-volt system: a lighter, more efficient electrical design than conventional 12-volt wiring.
  • Powershare: 120V and 240V outlets in the cabin and bed, ideal for a Navratri setup, a farmhouse gathering or a camp in the Rann.
  • Over-the-air capable: designed for remote software updates, though connectivity and feature availability on an imported unit in India should be confirmed during inspection.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is not available in India. In Ahmedabad, the Cybertruck's driver aids are there to assist, and the driver remains in charge at all times.

Safety Features

The Cybertruck carries a five-star overall safety rating from the US NHTSA for its 2024 and 2025 model years. Its stainless steel exoskeleton forms much of the body's strength, and the Armor Glass resists impacts better than conventional glazing.

  • Automatic Emergency Braking: designed to react when a collision is imminent.
  • Forward Collision Warning: an early alert in busy city traffic.
  • Lane departure avoidance: a help on long expressway and highway runs.
  • Camera-based blind spot monitoring: vital on a truck over 2 metres wide.
  • 360-degree camera coverage: useful in bungalow driveways and crowded mall car parks.
  • Front, side and curtain airbags across both rows.

The Cybertruck has had several recalls in the US, including fixes to the accelerator pedal, a trim panel, the light bar and wheel lug nuts. BBT reviews the recall history and current software status of the truck before it is sold.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Sun-proof body: no paint to fade under Gujarat's intense heat.
  • Effortless performance: 845 hp and 2.6 seconds to 60 mph.
  • Ideal roads: western Ahmedabad's wide avenues and the expressways suit its size.
  • Low running costs: home charging is inexpensive, and routine maintenance is minimal.
  • Practical bed and Powershare: made for farmhouse life and road trips toward Kutch.
  • Exclusivity: one of only a handful in India.

Cons:

  • Specialist servicing only: independent EV workshops look after maintenance.
  • Peak summer: extreme heat cuts real-world range through heavy air-conditioning use.
  • Old City lanes: pols and narrow bazaars are off-limits in practice.
  • Charging plug: home charging is the reliable option, not public fast chargers.

Why Buying Used Is Smart

A self-arranged Cybertruck import means finding a truck abroad, paying for shipping, absorbing heavy customs duty, completing homologation and then registering it, all of which can take many months. Cybertrucks brought into India privately have reportedly cost around ₹5 crore.

Buying through Big Boy Toyz is a far more measured decision, and Ahmedabad buyers appreciate measured decisions. The Cyberbeast is already in India, has been put through a multi-point inspection, and carries verified import and ownership documents. You can arrange a viewing through BBT, confirm its battery and software status, and proceed to finance and registration with clarity.

Price Range in India

ModelPrice (₹)Notes for Ahmedabad Buyers
Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast₹3.99 croreImported, unregistered unit available through Big Boy Toyz. Registration is in the buyer's name, and charges vary by state.

BBT charges the same price in every city. Road tax and registration costs depend on the state of registration, so speak with BBT at the Lal Darwaja showroom for guidance on a Gujarat registration and the latest availability.

Ownership Cost

Ahmedabad buyers tend to look closely at running costs, and the Cybertruck holds up well. Energy and routine maintenance are cheap; insurance and tyres are the significant items.

  • Charging: charging the truck fully at home usually costs between ₹1,000 and ₹1,500 at typical residential tariffs. Owners with rooftop solar may find their effective cost lower still. A week of commuting between Prahlad Nagar and GIFT City is well within a single charge for most owners.
  • Maintenance: no oil changes, spark plugs or exhaust components. Routine spending goes on tyres, brakes, suspension wear and cabin filters. Specialist EV and import workshops carry out the work, and BBT's after-sales team can help you identify the right one.
  • Insurance: comprehensive cover costs approximately ₹7 lakh to ₹10 lakh a year, depending on insured value and insurer.
  • Tyres: each large all-terrain tyre costs in the region of ₹40,000 to ₹70,000. Hot road surfaces and long highway runs make regular pressure and wear checks worthwhile.
  • Body protection: a clear or coloured PPF wrap is recommended to shield the stainless finish from dust and fine scratches.
  • Charger installation: budget for a wallbox and any upgrade to your home's electrical supply.

Measured against its price and performance, the Cybertruck is economical to run day to day. The main recurring costs in Ahmedabad are insurance and tyres, with a one-time investment in home charging and the effort of building a relationship with a specialist workshop.

Shade matters too. A covered parking bay keeps the cabin cooler, reduces the load on the air-conditioning in summer and protects whatever film you choose for the body, all of which add up over years of ownership.

Competitors

Ahmedabad buyers interested in the Cybertruck usually have a few other statement vehicles on their shortlist.

  • GMC Hummer EV: an enormous electric pickup with around 830 hp and CrabWalk, the Cybertruck's closest rival in concept.
  • Toyota Land Cruiser LC300: a favourite of Gujarat's business families for its toughness and long-term reliability.
  • Mercedes-AMG G63: the luxury off-roader with timeless appeal and a V8 voice.
  • GMC Yukon Denali: a full-size American SUV for buyers who want space and comfort with a bold look.
  • Rivian R1T and Ford F-150 Lightning: electric pickups that come to India only through private import.
  • Ford F-150 Raptor and RAM TRX: petrol performance pickups that appeal to collectors.

For buyers comparing notes with Mumbai, the Tesla Cybertruck in Mumbai page offers another perspective on the same truck. No rival combines the Cybertruck's stainless body, steer-by-wire and tri-motor pace.

The Brand Experience

Tesla's legacy is turning the electric car from a compromise into an aspiration. The 2008 Roadster showed what EVs could do, the Model S delivered luxury and range, and the Model 3 and Model Y made electric driving mainstream across the world. Software updated over the air and a clean, screen-centred cabin became hallmarks of the brand.

Tesla started official sales in India in July 2025 with the Model Y. The Cybertruck is not part of that range, so an imported Cyberbeast in Ahmedabad is one of the rarest vehicles in Gujarat.

Notable Brand Lineup

Tesla offers several models globally, and its official Indian line-up began with the Model Y in 2025.

  • Model 3: the compact sedan that took Tesla mass-market.
  • Model S: the flagship luxury sedan.
  • Model Y: the crossover that Tesla India sells.
  • Model X: the large SUV known for its falcon-wing doors.
  • Cybertruck: the unpainted steel pickup, which Gujarat buyers can only obtain as an import.
  • Tesla Semi: the heavy electric truck for freight fleets.

Tesla also makes home batteries, solar products and charging infrastructure, a natural fit in a solar-minded state like Gujarat.
