Tesla Cybertruck in Hyderabad: Stainless Steel Swagger from Banjara Hills to the ORR

Overview

Hyderabad's luxury car scene has changed dramatically over the past decade. The city's real estate, pharmaceutical, technology and film families have built a culture of statement vehicles, and on any weekend evening Jubilee Hills Road No. 36 hosts a parade of supercars and full-size SUVs. Even here, the Tesla Cybertruck manages to stand apart. It is not just expensive or fast. It looks like nothing else that has ever driven past Peddamma Temple.

The truck available through Big Boy Toyz is the Cyberbeast, the flagship Cybertruck. Three electric motors deliver 845 hp (630 kW), enough for 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. Its EPA range is about 515 km, and its body is an Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless steel exoskeleton paired with Tesla Armor Glass. Revealed in 2019, the Cybertruck reached its first US customers in November 2023.

Tesla officially entered India in July 2025, selling the Model Y. The Cybertruck is not part of Tesla India's range. That makes BBT's Cyberbeast, priced at ₹3.99 crore and sold imported and unregistered, one of the few ways to own one without organising a private import. Registration is completed in the buyer's name, and BBT's team can guide you through it for Telangana.

Big Boy Toyz has a showroom on Road No. 2, Banjara Hills, close to the neighbourhoods where most of the city's statement cars live. Hyderabad's wide new roads in the west of the city, the 158 km Outer Ring Road and the long highway runs out of town suit the Cybertruck well. Contact BBT Hyderabad to arrange a viewing of the truck and its documentation.

Model Features

The Cyberbeast's specification is a list of firsts and extremes. Here is what Hyderabad buyers get with the Cybertruck available through BBT.

  • 845 hp (630 kW) from three motors: one on the front axle, two on the rear, making this the most powerful Cybertruck.
  • 2.6 seconds to 60 mph: supercar acceleration from a three-tonne pickup, with a top speed of around 209 km/h.
  • About 515 km of EPA range: from a battery of roughly 123 kWh.
  • Stainless steel exoskeleton: Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled panels that are never painted.
  • Tesla Armor Glass: engineered for higher impact resistance than standard glazing.
  • Steer-by-wire: no steering column, and roughly 340 degrees from lock to lock.
  • Rear-wheel steering: up to 10 degrees, for a much tighter turning circle.
  • Adaptive air suspension: ground clearance of up to about 443 mm when raised.
  • 800V platform: rated for up to 325 kW DC charging on Tesla's V4 hardware in the US, and up to 11.5 kW AC.
  • Powershare: 9.6 kW of power through 120V and 240V outlets, plus 11.5 kW vehicle-to-home in its home market.
  • Cargo and towing: a lockable 6 by 4 foot vault bed of about 67 cubic feet, a 7 cubic foot frunk, around 1,134 kg of payload and an 11,000 lb (about 4,990 kg) tow rating.

Few vehicles anywhere put this much performance, utility and pure visual impact into a single package.

What tends to surprise Hyderabad buyers on a first viewing is how the features connect. The air suspension, steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering are all adjusted through the same touchscreen, the tonneau opens with a tap, and the Powershare outlets turn the bed into a working platform. It feels less like a list of options and more like a single, carefully integrated machine.

Variants

The Cybertruck range has been reshuffled several times since the first deliveries. Tesla's current US line-up looks like this:

  • Dual Motor AWD: 600 hp, 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, about 523 km of range, coil springs with adaptive dampers and a 7,500 lb tow rating.
  • Premium AWD: 600 hp with air suspension, the 9.4-inch rear touchscreen, 15-speaker audio and an 11,000 lb tow rating.
  • Cyberbeast: the three-motor flagship with 845 hp, 2.6-second acceleration, air suspension and about 515 km of range.

Earlier offerings included the Foundation Series, which carried unique badging and bundled features until January 2025, and a Long Range RWD model sold between April and September 2025. Tesla cancelled a planned range extender in 2025. For a Hyderabad buyer after maximum impact, the Cyberbeast is the version to have.

Colours

The Cybertruck skips the paint shop entirely. Every truck is finished in bare brushed stainless steel, and the only way to add colour is with paint protection film. Tesla's own wraps include:

  • Satin Clear: keeps the raw metal visible while guarding against smudges and light scratches.
  • Satin Stealth Black: a stealthy look that suits the late-night drive along Necklace Road.
  • Satin Abyss Blue: deep and understated, for a slightly softer presence.
  • Forest Green: an outdoor shade for owners who head to farmhouses near Shamshabad or Moinabad.
  • Satin Rose Gold: eye-catching even by Jubilee Hills standards.

Hyderabad's intense summer sun and dusty construction zones make a clear film a sensible base layer, and it keeps the unpainted steel easier to clean.

Fuel Efficiency and Mileage

With no engine and no fuel tank, the Cybertruck's running story in Hyderabad is about range and charging. The Cyberbeast is rated at about 515 km on the EPA cycle. In daily use, the biggest factor here is heat. From March to June, Hyderabad regularly bakes in temperatures above 40°C, so the air-conditioning and battery cooling systems work hard and range drops accordingly. Fast runs on the ORR or the highway toward Vijayawada also draw more energy, while slower traffic through HITEC City and Madhapur benefits from regenerative braking.

  • Home charging: the onboard charger accepts up to 11.5 kW of AC. Owners in independent homes in Jubilee Hills or gated villa communities in Kokapet and Gachibowli will typically do nearly all their charging on a wallbox installed by a qualified electrician.
  • DC fast charging: the truck can accept up to 325 kW on Tesla's V4 chargers in the US, adding about 215 km in about 15 minutes. It uses the North American (NACS) connector, while India's public fast chargers are built around a different plug, so compatibility should not be assumed.

BBT's after-sales team can help you plan a suitable home-charging set-up before you take delivery.

Design and Comfort

Everything about the Cybertruck's design is deliberate and unsoftened. The body is built from flat stainless steel planes meeting at crisp angles, the roof forms a single triangular peak, and full-width light bars run across both ends. Parked under the lights at a Banjara Hills restaurant, it reflects its surroundings like a sculpture, and it photographs unlike any other vehicle in the city.

Its dimensions are serious. The truck is about 5,683 mm long, 2,032 mm wide and 1,796 mm tall, with a 3,635 mm wheelbase and a Cyberbeast kerb weight of around 3,130 kg. Western Hyderabad's broad roads in the Financial District and Kokapet handle it easily, while the Old City's lanes around Charminar are best avoided. In tighter spaces, rear-wheel steering of up to 10 degrees makes turning and parking far easier than the size would suggest.

Inside, the cabin is clean and uncluttered. A large glass roof lets in plenty of light, five adults sit comfortably, and the flat rear floor gives the middle passenger real space. The lockable vault bed sits under a powered tonneau cover, the frunk takes soft luggage, and there is hidden storage beneath the rear seat.

Adaptive air suspension makes the Cybertruck comfortable on Hyderabad's mix of smooth new expressways and broken internal roads. When the monsoon brings sudden waterlogging to underpasses, raising the body to about 443 mm of ground clearance is useful, although no vehicle should be driven into water of unknown depth.

Cabin heat is worth a word for Hyderabad buyers. The big glass roof makes the interior bright and open, but in May it also lets in plenty of sun, so a fitted sunshade and pre-cooling the cabin from the touchscreen before setting off make a real difference to comfort on the drive home from Kondapur.

Performance & Engine

Three motors power the Cyberbeast: one up front and two at the rear, for a combined output of 845 hp (630 kW). That takes the truck to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds and on to a top speed of about 209 km/h. The acceleration is silent, smooth and immediate, with no gearbox to interrupt it.

In Hyderabad, that response shows up in everyday moments: joining the ORR from the Gachibowli interchange, overtaking a bus on the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway on the way to the airport, or pulling away cleanly from a signal on Road No. 12. On longer runs, such as the drive toward Srisailam through the Nallamala forest, the instant power makes overtaking slow traffic on two-lane roads safer and quicker.

Steer-by-wire replaces the conventional steering column. Inputs from the wheel are translated electronically, allowing a variable ratio that needs only about 340 degrees from lock to lock. Together with up to 10 degrees of rear-wheel steering, it gives the truck a surprisingly tight turning circle and a calm, stable feel at speed. Most drivers settle into it within a day.

The adaptive air suspension provides different ride heights for highway, city and rough terrain, and the Cyberbeast can tow up to 11,000 lb (around 4,990 kg). For owners with farmhouses on the city's edges or a boat at Gandipet, that capability is real and usable.

Interior & Technology

The Cybertruck's interior is a showcase of Tesla's screen-first philosophy. An 18.5-inch front touchscreen manages climate, media, drive settings, suspension height and the tonneau cover. Rear-seat passengers get a 9.4-inch screen of their own, and a 15-speaker audio system keeps everyone entertained.

  • Panoramic glass roof: creates an open, airy cabin, though a sunshade is a wise addition for Hyderabad's summers.
  • 48-volt architecture: a lighter, more efficient low-voltage system than the usual 12 volts.
  • Powershare outlets: 120V and 240V sockets in the cabin and bed, ideal for a farmhouse gathering or a camping weekend.
  • Built for over-the-air updates: though connectivity and feature availability on an imported unit in India should be confirmed during inspection.

Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is not available in India. In Hyderabad, as everywhere in the country, the Cybertruck is a vehicle you drive yourself, with its safety systems acting as support.

Safety Features

The Cybertruck received a five-star overall rating from the US NHTSA for the 2024 and 2025 model years. The stainless exoskeleton provides much of its structural strength, and the Armor Glass is designed to withstand impacts that would damage ordinary glass.

  • Automatic Emergency Braking: designed to intervene if a collision looks imminent.
  • Forward Collision Warning: an early alert in dense traffic around Ameerpet or Kukatpally.
  • Lane departure avoidance: helpful on long ORR or highway runs.
  • Camera-based blind spot monitoring: important for a truck of this width.
  • 360-degree camera coverage: makes tight gates and basement parking far less stressful.
  • Front, side and curtain airbags for both rows.

The Cybertruck has had several US recalls since launch, covering issues such as the accelerator pedal, a trim panel, the light bar and wheel lug nuts. Before any sale, BBT reviews which recalls apply and confirms the truck's software status.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Showstopping design: it stands out even in Jubilee Hills' supercar crowd.
  • 845 hp performance: 2.6 seconds to 60 mph, silently.
  • Suited to new Hyderabad: wide roads in the west of the city and the ORR are ideal territory.
  • Air suspension: comfortable on broken roads and helpful in monsoon waterlogging.
  • Practical extras: lockable bed, frunk and Powershare for farmhouse weekends.
  • Rarity: among the very few in India.

Cons:

  • Independent upkeep: maintenance depends on specialist EV workshops.
  • Summer heat: air-conditioning load in peak summer reduces real-world range.
  • Old City access: narrow lanes and dense traffic make the truck impractical there.
  • Charging connector: plan on home charging rather than public fast chargers.

Why Buying Used Is Smart

Owning a Cybertruck in India normally means importing it yourself. That involves buying abroad, shipping, steep customs duties, homologation and registration, with months of waiting and plenty that can go wrong. Cybertrucks that have been imported into India are reported to have cost around ₹5 crore.

Big Boy Toyz removes most of that complexity. The Cyberbeast is already in India, has passed a multi-point inspection and comes with verified import and ownership documentation. Hyderabad buyers can arrange a viewing through the Banjara Hills showroom, review its battery and software status, and proceed straight to financing and registration.

Price Range in India

ModelPrice (₹)Notes for Hyderabad Buyers
Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast₹3.99 croreImported and unregistered, available through Big Boy Toyz. Registration is done in the buyer's name, and charges vary by state.

The price is consistent across every city. Road tax and registration fees depend on your state, and the team at BBT's Road No. 2, Banjara Hills showroom can explain what a Telangana registration involves and confirm current availability.

Ownership Cost

Owning a Cybertruck in Hyderabad changes the usual cost profile of a luxury vehicle. Energy and routine maintenance are cheap; insurance and tyres need careful budgeting.

  • Charging: a complete top-up at home works out to roughly ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 on typical household tariffs. For a commute between Jubilee Hills and the Financial District, that is a small fraction of what a large petrol SUV would spend.
  • Servicing: no oil changes, spark plugs or exhaust systems. Routine costs focus on tyres, brakes, suspension components and cabin filters. The work falls to specialist EV and import workshops, and BBT's after-sales team can recommend where to go.
  • Insurance: around ₹7 lakh to ₹10 lakh a year for comprehensive cover, depending on the insured value and insurer.
  • Tyres: each of the oversized all-terrain tyres costs around ₹40,000 to ₹70,000. Hot tarmac and rough farmhouse tracks make periodic checks worthwhile.
  • Body care: a clear or coloured PPF wrap is recommended to protect the stainless finish from dust and minor scratches.
  • Home charging set-up: budget for a wallbox and any electrical upgrade your home or villa community requires.

Taken as a whole, the Cybertruck is economical to run day to day for a vehicle of its size and performance. Hyderabad owners will spend most of their running budget on insurance, tyres and the one-time effort of setting up home charging and a specialist servicing relationship.

Heat management is the one Hyderabad-specific habit worth building. Parking in shade or a covered bay during the summer months, and pre-cooling the cabin while the truck is still plugged in at home, both help protect real-world range and keep the cabin comfortable from the first minute of a drive.

Competitors

Hyderabad buyers considering a Cybertruck often look at a small group of other statement vehicles.

  • GMC Hummer EV: the Cybertruck's closest spiritual rival, an electric supertruck with around 830 hp and CrabWalk.
  • Lamborghini Urus: a favourite on Jubilee Hills roads for buyers who want Italian flair and a V8.
  • Mercedes-AMG G63: the luxury off-road icon, more traditional but with huge badge appeal.
  • Lexus LX: a refined, reliable full-size SUV for buyers who value comfort over spectacle.
  • Rivian R1T and Ford F-150 Lightning: electric pickups available only as private imports.
  • Ford F-150 Raptor and RAM TRX: loud, petrol-fuelled performance pickups that collectors chase.

No alternative combines the Cybertruck's stainless steel body, steer-by-wire engineering and Cyberbeast performance.

The Brand Experience

Tesla made electric cars aspirational. The 2008 Roadster showed EVs could be quick, the Model S proved they could be luxurious and long-legged, and the Model 3 and Model Y made them mainstream across the world. Software updates over the air and a minimalist, screen-led cabin became the brand's signatures.

Tesla entered India in July 2025 with the Model Y. The Cybertruck sits outside that line-up, so a Cyberbeast on Hyderabad's roads is about as rare as any vehicle in the city.

Notable Brand Lineup

Tesla's global line-up covers sedans, SUVs and trucks. In India, the Model Y opened the official account in 2025.

  • Model 3: the compact sedan that made Tesla a household name.
  • Model S: the luxury flagship sedan.
  • Model Y: the crossover offered by Tesla India.
  • Model X: the large SUV with falcon-wing doors.
  • Cybertruck: the stainless pickup, an import-only vehicle in India.
  • Tesla Semi: the electric heavy truck for freight.

Tesla also manufactures home batteries, solar products and charging hardware.
