Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast - The Stainless Steel Future, Delivered to India

Overview

First unveiled in 2019 and delivered to its first customers in November 2023, the Tesla Cybertruck is Tesla's take on the pickup truck, and it breaks every convention. Instead of a painted body on a frame, it uses an Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless steel exoskeleton as its outer skin, paired with Tesla Armor Glass. Instead of a steering column, it uses steer-by-wire. And instead of a V8, the range-topping Cyberbeast uses three electric motors producing 845 hp.

The result is a five-seat electric pickup that can reach 60 mph in 2.6 seconds, tow up to 11,000 lb and carry a large lockable load bed, all while looking like a vehicle from a science-fiction film. In India, where only a handful of Cybertrucks have been seen, it is one of the rarest and most recognisable vehicles you can own.

Model Features

  • Cyberbeast tri-motor AWD: 845 hp (630 kW)
  • 0–60 mph in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of about 209 km/h
  • EPA range of about 515 km (Cyberbeast)
  • Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless steel exoskeleton and Tesla Armor Glass
  • Steer-by-wire with rear-wheel steering of up to 10 degrees
  • Adaptive air suspension with up to about 443 mm of ground clearance
  • 18.5-inch front touchscreen and a 9.4-inch rear screen
  • 800V architecture with DC fast charging of up to 325 kW
  • Powershare with 120V and 240V outlets to power tools, camping gear or even your home
  • Powered tonneau cover over a lockable 6-foot "vault" bed

Variants

The Cybertruck lineup has evolved since launch. The current range in the US is:

  • Dual Motor AWD: 600 hp, 0–60 mph in 4.1 seconds, about 523 km of range, coil springs with adaptive dampers
  • Premium AWD: 600 hp with air suspension, the 9.4-inch rear screen and upgraded audio
  • Cyberbeast: the flagship tri-motor version with 845 hp, 0–60 mph in 2.6 seconds and air suspension

The early Foundation Series cars came with special badging and bundled features, while a short-lived Long Range RWD version was sold in 2025.

Colours

The Cybertruck comes from the factory in one finish only: its signature bare brushed stainless steel. Because the body is not painted, owners personalise it with paint protection film wraps. Tesla's own colour wraps include:

  • Satin Clear (protects the natural steel look)
  • Satin Stealth Black
  • Satin Abyss Blue
  • Forest Green
  • Satin Rose Gold

Fuel Efficiency and Mileage

As a fully electric vehicle, the Cybertruck uses no fuel. The Cyberbeast has an EPA-rated range of about 320 miles (around 515 km), while the Dual Motor versions are rated at about 523 km. Real-world range in India will vary with speed, load and air-conditioning use.

  • DC fast charging: up to 325 kW on compatible chargers, adding around 215 km of range in about 15 minutes
  • AC charging: up to 11.5 kW, so a home wallbox can fully charge the truck overnight

Running costs per kilometre are a small fraction of a petrol-powered luxury SUV or pickup.

Design and Comfort

The Cybertruck's design is its headline. The flat, faceted stainless steel panels, the single light bar stretching across the front and rear, and the steep triangular roofline make it instantly recognisable from any angle. At about 5.68 metres long and just over 2 metres wide, it is a big vehicle, but four-wheel steering makes it surprisingly manoeuvrable.

Inside, the cabin is minimalist and airy, with a huge glass roof, seating for five and a flat rear floor. Practicality is excellent: a lockable 6-foot by 4-foot bed with a powered tonneau, a front trunk, and storage under the rear seats. With the air suspension raised, ground clearance reaches about 443 mm.

Performance & Engine

The Cyberbeast uses three electric motors, one at the front and two at the rear, for a combined 845 hp (630 kW). It reaches 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds, faster than most supercars, and has a top speed of about 209 km/h.

The Cybertruck's steer-by-wire system removes the mechanical link between the steering wheel and the front wheels, allowing a quick ratio that needs only about 340 degrees from lock to lock. Combined with up to 10 degrees of rear-wheel steering, it gives the truck a tight turning circle. Adaptive air suspension adjusts ride height for highways, city driving and off-road use, and the Cyberbeast is rated to tow up to 11,000 lb (about 4,990 kg).

Interior & Technology

The Cybertruck's interior is classic Tesla, built around software and screens:

  • 18.5-inch central touchscreen that controls almost every function
  • 9.4-inch rear touchscreen for passengers
  • 15-speaker premium audio system
  • Panoramic glass roof
  • 48-volt low-voltage electrical architecture that reduces wiring and weight
  • Over-the-air software updates that add features over time
  • Powershare outlets in the cabin and bed for tools, appliances and camping gear

Some features, such as Full Self-Driving (Supervised), depend on Tesla's software availability in each market.

Safety Features

The Cybertruck earned a five-star overall safety rating from the US NHTSA for the 2024 and 2025 model years. Its stainless steel exoskeleton and Armor Glass add strength, and standard safety technology includes:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Lane departure avoidance
  • Blind spot monitoring via the camera system
  • 360-degree camera coverage
  • Front, side and curtain airbags

Like any new vehicle, the Cybertruck has had several recalls in the US, all handled by Tesla. Big Boy Toyz checks the recall and software status of every unit before sale.

Why Buying Used Is Smart

Tesla does not sell the Cybertruck in India, and importing one privately involves overseas purchase, shipping, high customs duties, homologation and registration. Imported Cybertrucks seen in India have been reported at around ₹5 crore.

At Big Boy Toyz, the Cybertruck is already in India, inspected and ready to drive. You can see the exact truck, verify its specification, software and battery health, and take delivery without the risk and long wait of a private import.

Price Range in India

Ownership Cost

Here is what to expect when owning a Tesla Cybertruck in India:

  • Charging: a full charge costs about ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 at typical home electricity tariffs
  • Service and maintenance: electric powertrains need little routine servicing, with costs mainly for tyres, brakes, suspension and cabin filters
  • Insurance: approximately ₹7 lakh to ₹10 lakh a year for comprehensive cover, based on the insured value
  • Tyres: the Cybertruck's large all-terrain tyres cost about ₹40,000 to ₹70,000 each
  • Body care: a clear or coloured PPF wrap is recommended to protect the stainless steel finish

Competitors

The Cybertruck is one of a kind, but buyers often compare it with:

  • GMC Hummer EV: the other electric supertruck, with CrabWalk and 830 hp
  • Mercedes-AMG G63: the luxury off-road icon of choice in India
  • Rivian R1T: an American electric adventure pickup, available only as an import
  • Ford F-150 Lightning: the electric version of America's best-selling truck
  • Ford F-150 Raptor and RAM TRX: petrol-powered performance pickups popular with collectors

None of them match the Cybertruck's combination of design, technology and sheer shock value.

The Brand Experience

Tesla transformed the car industry by proving that electric vehicles could be desirable, fast and long-range. From the original Roadster in 2008 to the Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y, Tesla has built its reputation on performance, over-the-air software and its global Supercharger network.

Tesla officially entered India in July 2025, opening its first showroom in Mumbai with the Model Y. The Cybertruck, however, remains unavailable through Tesla India, which makes imported examples especially exclusive.

Notable Brand Lineup

Tesla's lineup includes:

  • Sedans: Model 3, Model S
  • SUVs: Model Y, Model X
  • Pickup: Cybertruck
  • Commercial: Tesla Semi

Beyond vehicles, Tesla also builds home batteries, solar products and charging infrastructure.
