S60 Cross Country is an entry-level sedan based on its elder sibling S60. The new member of Volvo's S-class family also shares majority of looks from the standard model where the gorgeous character lines are stretched in the newer version bearing the SUV-like body cover, different grille and faux-brushed skid plates in matte silver color at either end.

The Swede carmaker has also provided bigger alloy wheels wrapped in much thicker rubber with 18-inch and 19-inch as optional. The design looks more aggressive with balanced proportions and without any nonsense touch, though one cannot compare it with the looks of BMW 3-series nor does it has that posh-feel like Mercedes, still S60 has that appeal to stand out in the crowd.

However, change in power is unlikely to impact the performance of the new cross. In 8.8 seconds, the Cross Country can make a sprint from 0 to 100kmph and can attain a top speed of 210kmph.
The Volvo S60 Cross Country will compete against the likes of sporty or luxurious sedans, namely Audi A4, Jaguar XE, BMW 3-series and Mercedes C-class. It will touch the Indian shores through CBU route and is expected to find its way to the hearts of affluent Indians.
