The Best Selling Compact SUV - Audi Q3 Now in India at Rs. 34.20 Lakh

After competing against Mercedes GLA, BMW X1 and Volkswagen Tiguan in the international markets, Audi has announced the launch of the updated version of Q3 for the Indian market. The SUV comes with minor cosmetic changes and an uprated 2.0-litre diesel engine and is the third launch for 2017 after Audi A3 Cabriolet Facelift & Audi A4 Diesel. The 2017 Audi Q3 2.0L TDI FWD (Front Wheel Drive) is priced at Rs. 34.20 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) while the 2.0L TDI Quattro version (all-wheel-drive) is priced at Rs. 37.20 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Interior

The updated model now includes front seats that can be adjusted electrically and dual zone automatic air conditioner. The Q3 2.0L TDI Quattro gets sporty aluminum tangent inlays, whereas the Audi Q3 2.0L TDI FWD comes with walnut brown inlays.The infotainment system includes a 20GB jukebox, 2 card slots, Audi sound system, MMI navigation, voice dialogue system, phone box with USB slot and Bluetooth. The model is paired with a 7-speed automatic gearbox (the older version was mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox).

Design

The new luxury SUV comes standard with a panoramic sunroof with LED headlamps having signature LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs), 235/55 R17 tyres with 17-inch V-spoke alloy wheels. The design changes also include a redesigned front bumper underlining the character of Audi Q3 (sharper lines & striking shape). The new air inlets coupled with front bumper make it look more rugged and give it an aggressive character.

Engine

Enginesource -Audi

The Front Wheel Drive Q3 churns out 150PS of power & develops 340Nm of torque - increased by 4 percent over the previous model, and the Quattro version churns out 184PS of power, whereas its torque output remains the same (380Nm). The engine is located at the front of the vehicle so that the power is channeled through a new 7-speed S-Tronic transmission.

Audi claims that the car delivers a fuel efficiency of 18.51kmpl for the front wheel drive and 15.17kmpl for the Quattro version. The FWD version can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 9.3 seconds, while the Quattro version can do the same in 7.9 seconds.
