This year at the Geneva Auto Show, new and refined Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet range was showcased with its different versions like petrol, efficient diesels, plus C400 range-topper with 328bhp and 4x4.
The Mercedes C-Class family has a new member now and its name is Cabriolet. With saloon, estate and coupe to complete the lineup, we expect new energy among the Mercedes fans. The new C-Class Cabriolet's soft-top will be available in the showroom from this summer onwards and expected to be in the price range starting from £37,000 (it's Mercedes after all).
The C-Class Cabriolet has familiarity with the other models of the Mercedes-Benz, especially with the S-Class Cabriolet, larger version of C-Class. Cabriolet's dimensions are identical to the C-Class Coupe i.e. 4.6cm long by 1.8m wide. It also shares a lot of features with the model like similar robust grille, impressive LED headlights, beautiful curved boot and tail lamp, designs are quite similar and they are available in the convertible version as well.
The Cabriolet is an amazing creation of the Mercedes, which comes in two versions of the roof:
The soundproof version of the roof is an expensive deal and is available in attractive colors like brown, blue, red, and black. So, whenever you feel like flaunting your newbie convertible Cabriolet in the town, just push the button and it will open the sky for you in less than 20 seconds at a whopping speed of up to 31mph. Don't you feel like owning this beauty right away?
The Cabriolet has a wide range of engines; you can choose from six petrol and two diesel models. All the models offer nine-speed automatic gearbox and there are couple of models that are available with Mercedes' world-known powerful 4MATIC four-wheel-drive-system. All the models promise a smooth and thrilling driving experience to its drivers.
Cabriolet is laced with some wow elements that would definitely make you fall in love at the very first sight. Apart from its gorgeous heat-reflecting leather upholstery and spacious rear seats that split 50:50 to provide you with extra boot space, C-Class Cabriolet has got Mercedes' advanced technology Airscarf and Aircap systems. These are the hi-tech systems that take the turbulence out of driving with the top down. This technology together works best in cooler weather when convertible cars are either packed in the garage or their rooftops hardly get a day off. When the temperature is dipping and you still wish to feel that breeze on your face, use Airscarf and Aircap. Aircap helps in keeping the cold air out of the cabin; while on the other hand, Airscarf provides a soothing heating system at the most ignored neck area. Together, both the features make sure that you enjoy a long drive in your convertible.
Taking key points from the new S-Class Cabriolet, the C-Class Cabriolet speaks "sensuality" language from every pore of its body. On the other hand, it does retain its sporty feel and show a muscular look. Its exterior design along with 18-inch alloy wheels and comfortable driving seat gives you a sporty feel.
Its Diamond Radiator Grille along with the standard LED headlights gives a suave feel to the complete look and feel. Cabriolet has a sassy chrome trim and its 0.6 inches lower, giving the model a sportier appearance.
Mercedes has added comprehensive safety system, which makes this model more competent and appealing. The car provides a huge airbag system, including front airbags, knee bags, pelvis bags and window bags (you are absolutely safe in this car).
It is loaded with oodles of safety features, which promise to keep you safe while driving. For instance, the Driving Assistance Package comes with adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection and lane assist.
The Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet is attractive, suave, sporty, powerful and safe; all these features make it model a definite winner. Overall, the Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet range is for the people who appreciate unruly beauty that looks mysteriously attractive at every turn.
