How to make your Freelander Last for a Really Long Time?

It goes without saying that Freelander is a durable vehicle. Yet, an SUV is usually so dear that you want to use it for the rest of your life. Practicing a few small and basic things will ensure that your Freelander stays with you much longer than you'd expect. Here are a few simple steps that will let you keep your Land Rover forever more!

Choosing the Right Dealer

So that you are doubly sure, ensure that you purchase from an authorized dealer. Moreover, a good dealer makes service and repair relatively easier whenever required. It will also build a relationship of trust, ensuring that your beloved isn't getting manhandled by a stranger and all its parts are going to be reared with utmost care.

Change your Fuel Filter at Frequent and Regular Intervals

Ensure that your frequent is not 'TOO' frequent but getting your fuel filter changed on a regular basis will mean that your fuel pump is going to last for a very long time. Another thing that you can do to make your fuel pump last is, to keep your tank full for as long as possible. Since this part gets heated easily, it is actually a good idea to keep the tank full as the fuel will ensure that the fuel pump remains cool.

Get it Serviced Regularly

This one goes without saying. You need to get it serviced at least once in two months. In the day and age of technology, you never know when a new purchase will get outdated. Thus, if your car is serviced regularly, your service centre will keep you informed about the updates. At the end of the day, an updated SUV is always better than an outdated SUV.

Handling of the Sunroof

This is more or less common sense. Sunroofs usually get spoilt quickly in any car and hence, they should be dealt with extra care. Also, sometimes, due to non-usage for long time, the sunroof gets jammed, so it is advisable to keep opening and closing it regularly in order to prevent the jam. Give yourself a pat on the back if you have managed to maintain the sunroof of your car. Also, this means that you are just way too good at maintaining things!

Charge Regularly and Rightly

This will save you a lot of trouble as due to its high tech functionality, the car draws a lot of current and hence, it is always a good idea to have a fully charged battery.

Lastly and most importantly, at some point in time, the car will need repair and replacement of some of its parts. If you get it done from an authorized dealer, then the chances of repair and replacement causing a disruption in the smooth functioning of the car are almost negligible.

These small and simple steps will make sure that your Freelander remains yours FOREVER!
