Porsche India has used a bigger engine - 4.0-litre Naturally Aspirated Flat 6 engine tuned by Porsche GT Division, this engine punches out 420Ps / 414BHP power at 7600 RPM and 420Nm maximum torque from 5000 to 6800 RPM. Power is sent to rear wheels only via gorgeous 6-Speed Manual Transmission. All though the car loses some performance when equipped with manual transmission but it adds on with driver engagement, fun, and alot more hence Porsche Purist always looks out for a special edition manual sports car. This time around Porsche India has greeted Indian purists with this beautifully packaged Porsche 718 Spyder, and it will set you back Rs 1.60 cr ex-showroom India before options. 

Porsche 718 Spyder Features

The Porsche 718 Spyder comes with the following list of features that includes all-new front splitter which is designed by the Porsche GT division, it creates much needed downforce when working with rear diffuser. Headlight setup is bi-xenon automatic main beam with Porsche Dynamic Lighting System & 4-Dot LED Daytime running lamps as standard which can be upgraded to Matrix LED headlight setup with auto high beam assist & Porsche Dynamic Lighting System Plus by paying additional extras. Front bumper has been redesigned with bigger vents which will feed directly to the radiators. Front air intake features a matt black highlighting with LED fog lamp mounted directly over the air intake. Side profile carries the iconic Porsche silhouette with an electrically adjustable outside mirror. Porsche 718 Spyder comes equipped with 20-inch 718 Spyder design light alloy wheels which are unique to this sportscar and come wrapped around a mixed section tire profile. Front axle features 245/35 R20 high-performance tires whereas the rear axle features a beefier set of 295/30 R20 rubber. Increased performance makes for a need for better and powerful braking system as well hence Porsche 718 Spyder comes with a pair of 380mm cross drilled internally vented steel disc rotors with 6-piston calipers at front and 380mm steel disc rotors works in the rear axle with 4-piston caliper. Rear profile is thoroughly reworked with the introduction of a double bubble-like rear deck surface which not only gives it the esthetically appealing looks but it also houses the head protection pillar in case of vehicle roll-over. Active Rear Spoiler world along with the newly introduced rear diffuser which is directly taken front the Porsche Cayman GT4, generates much needed downforce over the rear axle which comes very handy when going fast in the straight lines and when carving the corners at fast pace. 

Interiors are a mix of leather and alcantara material, where alcantara does give a race car feel in the interior, it is much lighter than leather and provides much added grip over leather. Steering wheel is taken directly from Porsche's GT division, it is a smaller diameter electrically assisted steering wheel unit that can be adjusted for reach and rake. Instrument cluster consists of a big analog tachometer dial with dual TFT displays on either side. Sports Chrono package can be equipped as part of optional extras. 7-inch high definition touchscreen Porsche Communication Display (PCM) display comes paired with Hi-Fi loudspeaker system capable of producing 150 watts as maximum output though 8 speakers. Apple CarPlay, GPS Navigation system, CD/DVD player, BOSE surround sound system, Burmester high-end sound system can be equipped as a part of optional extras. Centre console features a lovely 6-speed manual transmission level with roof operation button, sports exhaust button, TCS button, sports suspension button, electric parking brake, smokers package (optional), leather wrapped armrest with storage to keep the smartphone with some media connectivity ports. 2-Zone Automatic climate control, 2-way electric sports seat, bruised aluminium interior inlays, 6-airbags, anti lock braking system, traction control system, front and rear parking sensors, traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, front storage compartment all are a part of standard equipment list whereas 8-way adjustable sports electric seats. 18-way adaptive sports seats plus, fixed back carbon fibre sports seats, reversing camera with guidance, heated steering wheel, head up display, electrically adjustable steering wheel, auto dimming memory outside rear view mirror, carbon fibre interior inlays, carbon fibre exterior package, carbon fibre interior inlays, Porsche Carbon Ceramic brakes all can be equipped as a part of optional extras.
