The McLaren 765LT Coupe is a hard core supercar which is based on the McLaren 720S Coupe and engineered to carve all of the racing tracks. It is a track focused monster that can wear a number plate and can be driven as sensibly as it is driven like a lunatic on tracks. McLaren LT stands for Long Tail and “LT” series is a more hard core lighter and faster supercars based on the normal road legal supercar by McLaren Automotive. It possesses a 4.0-Litre Twin-Turbocharged V8 Petrol engine that produces as the name suggests - 765PS / 755BHP of power at 7500 RPM and 800NM of torque at 5500 RPM which 45PS and 30NM more than the McLaren 720S Coupe. It weighs 1339kg making it 85Kgs lighter than the supercar it is based on. The performance figures are as aggressive as her looks, at 2.8sec from 0-100kmph and flat-out it will hit 330kmph due to the aerodynamics creating drag and reducing the top speed by a notch. As McLaren 765LT Coupe is a special edition supercar, McLaren Automotive wants to make it rare hence they are producing just 765 units for the entire world. All though McLaren automotive haven't launched the 765LT in India but seeking in the demand we can expect the price to set around Rs 5.99 crore ex-showroom mark, Pan India.

McLaren 765LT Coupe is a stripped out road legal track car that comes loaded with following features: Front profile is redesigned not only to look aggressive but it is fully functional. Front splitter is redesigned to optimize aerodynamics better than the supercar it is based which is McLaren 720S Coupe, front splitter is larger and comes further out to generate more downforce, either side air intake inlets are bigger and aggressive it not only guides the air towards the side but it helps to cool down the hot brake disc. Coming on to the side, the carbon fibre side font wings features the carbon fibre louvers that helps to exit out the pressurised air from the wheels arches, complete side is made aggressive with the introduction of the side sill that channels out the air and works in conjunction to the aggressive contours featured in the doors that channels out air in the massive air intake that helps the engine to breathe more freely. McLaren 765LT Coupe features a stripped out frameless di-hedral doors which is lighter than the McLaren 720S Coupe and comes with soft-door close mechanism as standard. Rear is augmented with the light weight materials and larger body panels for example rear engine cover is plexiglass which is lighter than the conventional glass, active aero spoiler is 25% larger than the one on McLaren 720S. Original upgraded LT Titanium exhaust system is not only louder but it contributes in much needed weight saving, it orchestrates the rear end with centre exited quad exhaust tips. Rear diffuser is made from carbon fibre just like other body panels but as standard it comes painted in dark palladium and McLaren charges extra money to make it exposed in carbon fibre finish if you wish to do that. McLaren 765LT Coupe comes fitted with 19-inch front forged multi spoke alloy wheels makes for a much needed weight saving and it comes wrapped around high-performance 245/35 R19 Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. The rear features a bigger 20-inch forged alloy wheel with multi-spoke design and rear axle features a beefier 305/30 R20 high-performance Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. Braking performance is phenomenal as standard it comes with 390mm carbon ceramic disc brake with 6-Piston calipers directly taken from the McLaren Senna fitted at front and rear features a 380mm carbon ceramic disc brake with 4-Piston Calipers. The high temperature baked Carbon Ceramic disc brakes taken directly from the McLaren Senna can be equipped as a part of optional extras. 

McLaren 765LT features stripped out and the leather upholstery has been replaced with the racey alcantara where black textile has been used as headliner material. Driver zone retains the electro-hydraulic assisted three spoke carbon fibre steering wheel wrapped in alcantara. A pair of steering wheel mounted paddle shifters comes in exposed carbon fibre as standard. Front armrest and glove box have been deleted due to weight saving purposes. As standard, McLaren 765LT comes with electrically adjustable sports seats with cushion tilt functionality and fixed headrest restraint. Lighter fixed back carbon fibre racing seats with manual fore/aft adjustment can be equipped as a part of optional extras. McLaren 765LT doesn’t come with Radio, GPS Navigation and Air Conditioning whereas these features can be added back again at no extra cost. Infotainment screen is a 8-inch high definition touchscreen unit comes paired with 4-speakers McLaren Audio System, upgraded hi-fi bowers and wilkins surround sound system, apple carplay, android auto can be equipped as a part of optional extras. 4-Airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, TC, Driving mode, TPMS. foldable fully digital TFT instrument binnacle, Front and Rear parking sensors, Reversing Camera with guidance, front nose axle lifting system, drag reduction system, cornering brake control, seat belt pretensioners all come as a part of standard safety equipment whereas 360 degree surround camera system, head-up display, heated steering wheel, driver assistance package, track telemetry system can be equipped as optional extras.

McLaren 765LT Coupe comes with a latest generation of aerodynamic upgrades, that includes a new and larger front splitter that incorporates increased downforce over the front axle makes it even more planted and stable at higher speeds and works seamlessly with the faster steering rack to eliminate understeer. Side profile features a new aero side sill that channels this supercar efficiently towards the side air intake. Rear profile features a bigger active aero spoiler which is 25% larger than the one on McLaren 720S Coupe - increases the downforce on the rear axle and helps to stop the car faster when it works as an air brake. Rear diffuser is all new and the assistance of side rear canards around the rear bumper works efficiently to suck the car on the road as the speed rises by creating a venturi effect makes the rear end planted that doesn't lose the tailend quickly increasing the driver confidence.
