The GLA series of Mercedes-Benz is known all over the world for its power, style and fantastic drivability. The company has used this popular model in its portfolio successfully to promote itself as a maker of high-quality powerful cars that gives a great off-the-road driving experience. However, with several of its competitors launching new and improved models of their own in the same category, it was felt that the time has come for Mercedes to step up its game to stay ahead of the competition.
In a major departure from its earlier planned launch of models in any auto events where formal press briefings were used to be given, the new approach looks a bit unconventional. In this new advertising mode, the teaser of the new Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift is released through different social media platforms to whet the appetite of auto lovers around the world. The chatter in the social network indicates that the new facelift version of Mercedes-Benz GLA will be formally unveiled on 9th January 2017 at the prestigious Detroit Auto Show.

The company is also likely to put some new comfort elements inside to give the riders a terrific driving experience. Among the tweaks, we believe that it will have trendy looking LED headlamp cluster, a new radiator grill, bumper and character lines to make it look trendier. However, the overall dimensions are likely to remain the same. Auto bloggers have speculated that Mercedes may offer this model in some different colour options compared to the current model of the GLA-class.
The power plant of the new facelift is likely to remain the same and you can buy it either in a 2.0-litre petrol power mill option or a 2.1-litre diesel one. Both these motors are believed to be integrated with a sophisticated 7-speed automatic gearbox. While its power plant will remain the same, we expect that the interior cabin will see a complete overhaul. This overhaul may include new colors and furnishings and a bigger infotainment screen.
