January 2016 has been an action-packed month for the Bentley. After a successful and well-receptive launch of the mighty Bentayga in the European market, Bentley has now announced its splendid and much-admired line-up, Continental GT3, for the Australian racing event – Bathurst 12 Hours – taking placing on 5-7 February.
The shining line-up will participate in the team's new 2016 Livery that was first unveiled at the Autosport International Show, held in January 2016.
At the headquarter, Crewe, Bentley confirmed that its Team M-Sport will be reaching Mount Panorama, Australia in February 2016 to participate in the Bathurst 12 hours race with two Continental GT3s.
Originally conceptualized in the year 1960 with Armstrong 500 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, the Bathurst 1000, popularly known as 'The Great Race' among the car race fanatics and media, is a 1000 Kilometers touring car race that takes place yearly on the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, Australia. This huge maddening event offers a platform to the V8 Supercars to prove their mettle to the world.
In this important announcement, Bentley highlighted its most creditable line-up with the names like Guy Smith, Steven Kane who will be rejoined by the merit-holder Matt Bell, and the team of Andy Soucek and Maxime Soulet will be strengthened by the presence of Australian V8 star, David Russel, who has contended in V8 Supercar series occasionally since 2003 and frequent participation since 2009. This line-up itself looks star-studded and definitely amps up the expectations of every Bentley lovers.

He confidently replied, "We return to Mount Panorama looking to get the podium result that we so narrowly missed out on last year. As with any new event for the team, we went there looking to learn as much as we could so we could go back better in year two. Our line-up is very strong and David Russell's experience here should help us immensely, so we're feeling quietly confident."
Since David Russell's brilliant achievement last year (apart from laudable victories in the Bathurst's car race, he is the first Australian to do fastest lap of the Mountain track) was rare, it was clear that his association with the Bentley has set high hopes and solid confidence for the team.
Even David was looking confident and happy to be a part of the Bentley for this year's race. In his words, "It is a major highlight of my career to join such a prestigious and successful international GT team as Bentley Motorsport. It is a privilege to be the team's sole Australian driver at Bathurst, where I have enjoyed some great races over the years in sportscars, V8 supercars and in production cars."
He further commented on making things promising for the Bentley, "I will be doing all I can to help deliver Bentley a historic first Bathurst victory in February."
We truly hope that David's confidence really pays off this year and Bentley's fans can have a reason to celebrate soon.

In addition to the combination of effervescent green color, matching the Bentley's color palette, the livery also displays interesting design patterns from the Union Flag.
Like every race, Bathurst 1000 is very challenging. Driving sports car on the narrow mountain roads, where a driver could easily caught up in an accident in early hours, this race could be life threatening for the boys.
However, we are sure that under the guidance of seasoned David Russell, Bentley Sports Team is all geared up to set new records in the event.
