After a decade post the first Pagani Huayra Roadster, came the variant Huayra roadster BC symbolizing the speed, visual appeal and stunning interiors. This hyper car is the final page of road legal Huayra. It is christened in reference to a New York real estate mogul named Benny Caiola – a dear friend of the owner Horacio Pagani. In creating the more track-focused “Roadster BC”, Pagani's engineers tuned the AMG-sourced 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine to provide an epic 791 horsepower and 774 lb-ft of torque, with an expected 0-60 mph in time of below 3 seconds. As every proud Pagani model, this one too relies on exclusive composite technologies based on Carbotanium (Blend of Carbon Fiber and Titanium) and Carbon fiber which offers 12% more torsional rigidity and 20% more flexibility. At over 60 pounds lighter than the Huayra Roadster, the BC also generates 500kgs of downforce, ensuring phenomenal stability at high speeds and superb cornering. The Pagani Huayra BC priced at price Rs. 83.04 crores in India (if one lucky owner decides to import it in the country) is a track focused variant of the Huayra that was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The supercar is named after the late Benny Caiolo, a friend of Horacio Pagani and the first Pagani customer. The Huayra comes with an improved version of the standard Huayra engine i.e. 5980cc, twin-turbocharged producing 802 PS 791 Bhp) at 5900 rpm and 1050 Nm (740 lb.ft) of torque at 2000-5600 rpm. This hyper car is made of exclusive composite technologies based on carbon fibre and carbotanium that offers 12% more rigidity and 20% more flexibility. The weight of the Supercar is reduced by 132 kg (291 lb) to just 1250 kg with the use of an all new material called ‘carbon-triax’ in the supercar which Pagani claims is 50% lighter and 20% stronger than regular carbon fiber, thus giving the luxury hypercar a power-to-ratio of 1.62 kg per horsepower. However this hyper car has lost weight in the opportunity cost of 450% increase in material cost. The AMT gearbox too weighs 35% less in comparison to Conventional DCT. This Supercar ‘Pagani Huayra Roadster BC’ with active aerodynamics has two flaps on both front and rear sections.  The Huayra BC uses a lightweight titanium exhaust system, new alloy wheels, and a stripped-out interior. The tyres are Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires that feature 12 different rubber compounds, and the suspension and wishbones are made of aeronautical grade aluminum, known as Avinol. The pricey Huayra BC supercar also has a new front bumper with a front splitter and winglets, deeper side skirts, and an air diffuser that stretches the entire width of the rear bumper along with a large rear wing. This hypercar uses an 7-speed sequential manual transmission made by XTRAC (famous gearbox manufacturer for race cars) and has an electro-hydraulic actuation system. The Pagani Huayra supercar is stuck with a single-clutch gearbox because it weighs 40% less than double-clutch gearboxes. Talking in numbers, it doesn’t fail to impress with the ability of accelerating from 0 to 100kmph in 3 secs, top speed of 370 kmph and fuel consumption of 4.87 kmpl. This is the first Pagani to introduce carpets made of carbon fiber with unique damping properties to add to its utility. The next flaunt of this supercar is that it produces 500kg of downforce at 280kmph. The extrinsic features of this super car apart from the Roadster are frameless doors and manually operated carbon fiber roof top. With better transmission response time, gear shifts are 50% quicker compared to Huayra Roadster. These are limited editions with the exterior well defined with a heat protecting glazing windows, frameless doors, central locking, and carbon fiber made rear diffuser, which indeed makes it priceworthy.
