Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4matic LWB is the middle variant in Mercedes-Benz GLE lineup in India. It is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line 6-cyl petrol engine, that punches out 367PS / 362BHP power at 5500 RPM and 500NM max torque from 1600 - 4500 RPM. Power is sent to all-four wheels via an intelligent 4matic system and power is controlled via 9G Tronic Automatic Transmission. This power SUV takes just 5.7sec to accelerate from 0-100kmph and keeping the foot flat it will do an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. Mercedes-Benz India has priced this variant at Rs 96.30 lakh ex-showroom India.

Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4matic LWB features an all-new front fascia which consists of redesigned chrome grille at the centre which serves as an air streamer for the front mounted engine. At the centre is Mercedes-Benz STAR surrounded by double slatted chrome bars. Front bumper is redesigned to house two side air intake vents which directly feed to the engine. Blacked out central section provides the contrasted look hence looks sporty. FAUX skid plate is finished in chrome elements which not only give an improved approach angle but it gives the much needed rugged feel to the front as well. Side profile features a set of 20-inch 5-twin-spoke light alloy wheels in bright finish wrapped in 265/45 R20 run flat tires on each corner. Mercedes-Benz India is offering Airmatic suspension on each axle as standard which gives the undisturbed ride quality on undulated indian roads. Side profile features chrome elements on side window surrounds, illuminated fixed aluminium side step board with rubber studs, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirror with memory and heated function, aluminium roof rails which chrome highlighting adds to the sense of more practicality. Rear Profile features roof mounted fixed rear spoiler, the rear profile looks very different compared to the outgoing model by the introduction of all-new slim, split and long LED tail light setup. Rear bumper features blacked out lower section with FAUX skid plate like treatment where the chrome surrounded exhaust tip housing is giving the contrast look. 

Interior is decorated with ARTICO man-made leather upholstery in the front and the rear cabin, with anthracite headliner. Front cabin features 12.3-inch high definition instrument binnacle that features different displays for every driving mode on offer via Mercedes Dynamic Select system. Steering wheel is an all-new multifunctional sport leather unit with touchpad situated on either side. Steering wheel can be adjusted electronically for reach and rake. Entertainment screen is a 12.3-inch high definition touchscreen display unit which comes paired with BURMESTER Surround Sound System capable of producing 590 watts maximum output through 13 speakers. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, GPS Navigation System, multiple media input ports, in-built apps, touchpad that controls the entertainment display comes with handwriting recognition which is situated in the centre console.
