BMW M8 Coupe India
BMW M8 Coupe is introduced in the third quarter of 2020. BMW M GmbH had introduced M8 in a coupe and competition avatar but BMW Indian has decided to bring M8 Coupe in India. It is powered by 4.4-Litre TwinPower turbo V8 engine which is mated to an 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission, power goes through all of the tyres via intelligent xDrive system. This petrol power engine produces 600PS / 592BHP and 750Nm of torque which accelerates this two-door coupe from 0-100kmph in just 3.3sec to the top speed which is electronically limited to 250kmph. BMW M8 sits on the top of BMW M range of cars which are predominantly led by very popular BMW M3 and BMW M5 Competition. BMW M8 coupe features a very wide redesigned BMW kidney grille in gloss black finish flanked either side by a pair of BMW Laser headlight module with integrated LED drls. The front bumper is redesigned to boast the aggressive front looks with bigger air intake to cool down the massive engine under the front hood. At the side, it features the air outlet on front fenders to extract air from the wheel arch that produces wheel lift at the front axle. This car sits on 19-inch double-spoke design M light-alloy wheels which are wrapped around 275/40 R19 run-flat tyres at the front and 285/40 R19 run-flat tyres at the back. Carbon fibre reinforced plastic roof comes standard with BMW M8 coupe which saves a few kilograms out of the weight and improves lowering the centre of gravity which makes it more agile and delivers great dynamics while driving. Interiors are covered in Leather ‘Merino’ upholstery with extended contents with Anthracite headliner. Interiors are flanked by ambient lighting, M8 designated illuminated door sill, wireless charging pad in the front cabin, Apple CarPlay for wireless iPhone integration, Harmon/Kardon surrounds sound music system with a maximum output of 460 watts. Driver zone boasts a head-up display, electrically assisted multifunctional sports leather steering wheel with steering column-mounted paddle shifters. Steering wheels offer two red buttons stated M1 and M2 here driver can configure both the buttons by altering the nature of the engine, transmission, steering, exhaust, esp and select pre-configured modes while driving. BMW M8 coupe features a whole lot of driver assistance and safety features that include 9-airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, TC, TPMS, Hill-descent control, lane departure warning, park distance control, reversing camera with adaptive guidelines and surround camera system with a 3D view of surroundings. Chassis is a blend of carbon-fibre, magnesium and aluminium, where the front hood, doors, rear boot are made from aluminium and front and rear bumper are made of dent-proof high-grade plastic. BMW M8 coupe features active sports exhaust system fitted as a standard fitment from the factory, where it will sound like a normal v8 so that M8 could be used for daily driving and once driver selects sport+ mode that enables the exhaust system with open up its values for louder and more bassy V8 rumble.
