BMW 5 Series is the executive sedan class offered by BMW India. The current generation of 5 series was unveiled in 2016 in India. BMW India unveiled the 5 series with 3 engine options, 2 fuel type options, and 4 variants to choose from. The Price range starts from Rs 55.4 lakhs ex-showroom India and going all the way up to Rs 68.4 lakhs ex-showroom India for the top-of-the-line 530d M Sport variant. BMW 530i Sport is the base variant in BMW 5 series lineup, it is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged, 4-cyl engine which is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. This engine punches out 252PS / 248BHP of power and 350Nm of torque delivering the power to rear wheels, acceleration from 0-100kmph happens in 6.1 sec with a top speed of 250kmph. BMW India has upped their game with this generation of 5 series when launched in 2016. All though it is 6 years old now, but 5 series has tagged very well, it doesn't feel that old when you see one approaching towards you in the rearview mirror and for sure it is a looker. BMW India has announced the replacement of this generation of 5 series in 2021. We have no doubts that the car will take the competition to the next level. BMW 530i Sport Features

BMW 530i Sport features an active front grill which helps cool the engine by opening the alternate set of vertical slat in BMW kidney grille. On either end are automatic led headlamps with led daytime running headlamps iconic on the BMWs. The front bumper has been redesigned for maximum airflow for the engine bay, and there are led fog lamps over the air inlets on either end of the front bumper. BMW 530i Sport sits on the new designed 17-inch V-spoke alloy wheels which are wrapped around 245/45 R17 tyres provide ample of grip to put the 252PS of power down to uneven roads of India. The rear profile is chiselled out for an aggressive appearance, rear houses the new set of led taillights with integrated turn-in indicators. The lower bumper is left with black-out section, dual exhaust pipes - one on each side adds to the overall aggressive look. BMW 530i Sport interior is as sporty as the exterior. It features an 8-way electrically adjustable comfort seat for driver and passenger with 2 pre-set memory functions for the driver seat. The driver side section is very focused, steering wheels are electrically assisted and electrically adjusted for reach and rake. Leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel housed the srs airbags at the centre. BMW 530i Sport features an all-new digital 12.3-inch driver information display which comes with multiple choice of displays. Centre console has been re-designed to house a new 10.25-inch entertainment high-definition touch screen which comes mated to a hi-fi loudspeaker system with 205 W of maximum output and there are 10 speakers throughout the cabin. A music lover can store their playlist in the onboard harddrive, there multiple input port options available to connect their smartphone or they can pair their phones via wireless Bluetooth connectivity for wireless music streaming experience. Travelling to a new location would not be a problem as BMW 530i sport offers an offline navigation system with 3D maps which can be projected onto the 12.3-inch fully digital driver console. For comfort and convenience, it features 2-zone automatic climate control system for front passenger and multiple ac vents with a fan speed controller for rear occupants. There are a couple of cup holders available for font and rear cabin alongside plenty of storage options under the front and rear armrest, front glove box and all the four-door carts offer some sort of storage for the occupants. Luxury car experience felt incomplete without a sunroof but not in BMW 530i Sport, it features an electrically operated glass sunroof which lets-in lighter and air for even more pleasurable experience inside the cabin. Rear bench seats can seat three adults in fine comfort, they sit low, headspace is ample, visibility outside is good due to the low rear window line.

BMW 530i Sport is a new and improved car when compared to the outgoing model, it is bigger in exterior dimensions, rear cabin space is improved from headspace to leg space. Exterior design updates the front and rear bumper with sharper and angular edges with the integration of multiple air breathers on the front bumper for engine bay and sporty exhaust pipes housed inside the rear bumper for better rear end looks. Newly designed headlights and taillights are introduced with updated 5 series. In the inside, the driver zone has been given a complete revamp, the analogue console has been updated with a fully digital cluster which now helps to show 3D maps on the instrument cluster itself rather than on the entertainment screen which was the case with outgoing 5 series.
