Lexus RX, ES, LX and RC F Make Their Way to Indian Market Prices Expected Above Rs 70 Lakh

Ahead of the official announcement, Lexus, at a privately held event last day, took the wrap off its 4 models for the Indian market. Christened as RX, ES, LX and RC F, the company will follow the CBU route to expand its portfolio in India, for which around 29 units of RX 450h have already been imported in the country. As of now, Lexus is focusing majorly on the petrol versions because of the ongoing struggle for the diesel vehicles, but we can expect the Lexus portfolio to have diesel variants too for the current models. Though there is no official word on the pricing of these models, the estimated prices are:

  • Lexus RX 450h – Rs. 70-80 lakh
  • Lexus ES 300h – Rs. 75 lakh
  • Lexus LX 450d – Rs. 1.20 crore
  • Lexus RC F – Rs. 3 crore

Lexus RX 450h

The SUV is one of the highly popular models of the marque, which is powered by a V6 3.5-litre petrol hybrid motor synced to an e-CVT gearbox. This configuration helps in churning out a power of 304BHP. During the peak hour traffic, the V6 petrol engine automatically shuts down and the hybrid system takes its place for maximum fuel efficiency. The front wheeldrive system is the part of the standard package whereas all wheeldrive system is also on the offer.

Lexus ES 300h

Sharing features and technology with the Camry sedan, the ES300h defines what a true luxury salon should be with sporty exterior and posh interior. The sedan uses the same 2.5-litre petrol powermill that is mated to a CVT tranny and is assisted by an electric motor. This combination throws a power of 202BHP along with a peak torque of 213Nm.

Lexus LX 450d

This is the flagship product of the marque in the luxury SUV segment, which belongs to the rare species of luxury utility vehicles that are the perfect blend of exemplary luxury and true to the heart off-roader capability. It is energized by a robust twin-turbo V8 4.5-litre diesel engine that delivers a power and torque of 266BHP and 650Nm, respectively.

For petrol lovers, there is also a petrol version on the offer with a V8 engine of 5.7-litre, catapulting a power of 380BHP alongside a torque of 546Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox that sends equal power to all the 4-wheels. A true 8-seater, the Lexus LX 450d owns a distinctive design with every detail in place.

Lexus RC F

With bold expression and uncompromising performance, the all-new Lexus RC F is the master of aggressive stance that undoubtedly matches the commendable features this coupe comes with. Designed sincerely for performance enthusiasts, the new Lexus RC F is loaded with premium features delivering functional beauty, which include air scoops, carbon fibre components, active rear wing and wider wheels and tyres.

The premium coupe is throttled by a 5.0-litre V8 2UR-GSE motor that is synced to an 8-speed automatic gearbox churning a power of 463BHP and a torque of 389Nm. This makes this performance beast enable to do a sprint of 0-100Kmph in 4.4 seconds, which makes it commendable.
