Lamborghini Launches its Aventador S Coupe in India at Rs 5.01 Crore

Lamborghini unveiled its Aventador S last year in the month of December globally and now the supercar is all set ready to lure its Indian fans. The Italian marque has launched the Aventador S coupe in India today at a hefty price of Rs. 5.01 crore (ex-showroom, India). It is the second launch of the luxury carmaker in the country this year, which has been listed on its official website. Last month, the company introduced its Huracan RWD Spyder convertible in the country at a price point of Rs. 3.45 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The newly launched Aventador S can be termed as the mid-life update of the standard Aventador with few cosmetic changes. These include the addition of diffusers, rear bumper, front bumper, and air intakes. The new air intakes and bumper in the front add more downforce to the car, near about 130%, which make its grip on the road stronger. These add-ons give the car more aerodynamics, thus increasing its performance and speed.

If you remember, the standard version of Lamborghini Aventador has jet-fighter inspired cockpit. Nothing has changed on that front with the interior almost remains the same in the facelift version of Aventador, though you will notice a minor change in the instrument cluster that now comes with an LCD TFT display in place of the old-school analog dials.

With the help of the Italian carmaker’s personalization division, the interested customers can now customize their new Lambo Aventador S with an ample number of options available at their end. However, the enticing feature of the new baby from the house of Lamborghini is the unique 4-wheel steering, where achieving low turning radius while driving at low speed and better cornering ability during high speed becomes possible. When the car is at low speed the rear wheels as compared to the front ones turn in opposite direction, whereas in the case of high speed, the wheels turn in the same direction.

The company has also added a fourth driving mode in the luxury coupe apart from the already available – Sport, Strada, and Corsa. The fourth mode, named as ‘EGO’, enables the driver to select personal settings for suspension, steering, and engine.

In terms of powertrain, the refurbished Aventador S is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 6.5-litre engine that is mated to a 7-speed automatic tranny sending power equally to all the 4 wheels. This fierce combination delivers a maximum power and torque of 740PS and 690Nm, respectively. Reaching a mark of 0-100Kmph in mere 2.9 seconds, the deadly beast can achieve a top speed of 350Kmph.

The recently launched Ferrari 812 Superfast, the fastest Ferrari of all times, and Aston Martin Vanquish are believed to be its extreme rivals globally. Replacing the standard Aventador in the India luxury car market, the uplifted Aventador S coupe is touted to be one of the best productions of the Italian marque. The company is soon expected to launch the Spyder version of the Aventador in the country sooner than later this year.
