BMW makes driver centric cars, We Indians like something different than manufacturers usually offer. BMW India has listened to it, not only have they launched a perfect car matching Indian conditions but assembling it in India makes for an affordable option compared to competitions. BMW India has launched the most anticipated model of 2021 i.e BMW M340i xDrive, This is more powerful than the standard BMW 330i and less expensive than the full-blown BMW M3. Under the front hood is a 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbocharged In-Line 6 cyl engine which produces 387PS / 382BHP power at 5000 RPM and 500NM torque from 1860 to 5000 RPM. With the availability of intelligent xDrive - all wheel drive system, this sports sedan can achieve 0-100kmph in mere 4.4sec and offers a 250kmph top speed. The best part about this sports sedan that BMW India is assembling it in India only rather than bring it as a Completely Built-Up unit (CBU) like its competitors, priced at Rs 62.90 Lakh ex-showroom India, it undercuts it competition by just less than Rs 20 Lakh, making it a potent option for one opting to buy a daily comfortable commuter with ample of power to be used on daily basis.
BMW M340i xDrive Features
2021 BMW M340i xDrive comes with BMW Laser headlight setup as standard with Main LED lamp w/ LASER module. These are one of the brightest lights available in the affordable luxury performance oriented category. Front kidney grille comes with dotted profile at the centre, also these grille works as an active kidney grille to cool down the massive engine when needed. Front bumper is redesigned with new air intakes on either side to cool down the M Sport brakes, which come standard with BMW M340i xDrive. Centre section of the front bumper provides additional cooling for the front radiator fan. Side profile is like other BMW 3 Series models. It comes fitted with the 18-inch Double Spoke M light alloy wheels with 225/45 section run flat tires setup at front and 255/40 R18 run flat tires setup at the rear. Rear profile comes with a 3D design pair of LED tail lights with hockey stick-like shape with integrated LED fog lamps. Rear bumper comes into play for the most aggressive profile with integrated dual exhaust pipes coming out on either side of the bumper. Power operated tailgate offers 480 litres of boot space with power closing mechanism. Shark Fin antenna, M rear lip spoiler comes standard.
Interiors are covered in Alcantara Sensatec Leather upholstery throughout the interior with anthracite being used as headliner. Driver side zone is a fully digital 12.3-inch LCD display which comes with updated graphics first used in G20 BMW 330i in 2019. This display can also be used to display GPS Navigation maps in 3D. Steering wheel is an electrically assisted unit with multifunctional buttons and a pair of steering wheel mounted paddle shifters which lets you take control of 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Transmission with drivelogic.
