“In the summer of 1969, we found ourselves in Detroit. It was an exciting time for my father, of course, but for the whole family, A visit to the Detroit Auto Show and seeing the Challenger…he just fell in love. From 1972 to 1996 the car remained in Venezuela, Word had preceded the car that a Hemi Challenger was to arrive in Venezuela, and this was among the motorheads and car enthusiasts… The car arrived, and they immediately started referring to the car as ‘El Hemi’.” says the owner of the family legacy Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T Juan Escalante. Further he goes on saying that the lack in the availability of parts in Venezuela the car was slowly leading to a state which demanded heavy repair. The brothers convinced their father to send it to repair to US in 1996 the car saw its completion in 2005 without their Father. This car is not just another American muscle in the backyard but a family member in every sense.
