Meet these 9 Crazy Lowrider Jeeps – The PRIDE of India

27th April 2017

No denying the fact that our country is full of crazy people who derive pleasure in things that are rare and exclusive. The craze for SUVs has recently been on rise in India and the reasons are many but still nothing can beat the fan following of Jeeps here. Though Jeeps are quite popular in foreign lands, in India there are people who find solace in driving them and this is the reason why there exist some souls who have converted their Jeeps into the lowrider ones, despite of the fact that majority of Indian roads don't support such rides.

Let’s meet these specially-carved machines that are sure to make you go weak in knees:

Dabwali Jeeps

Painted in black, you can find this monster in the northern part of India and looks aggressive, thanks to its modified chassis and wide tyres. The owner has designed it with lowered suspension, aftermarket fenders and split windscreen.

Amandeep Jeeps

Don't get shocked as the lowrider Jeep bears the name of its modifier and why not when the person has taken so much interest in beautifying the beast. Registered in the state of Maharashtra, the vehicle has been modified in the Land of 5 Rivers – Punjab. To reduce the height of the Jeep, it has used the Mahindra Bolero's suspension. Maxxis has formed the inspiration for tyres to make it a dual-purpose vehicle. The steering wheel’s dimension has also been reduced to suit the new modification.

Yellow Lowrider

Yellow is the color of hope and happiness and yes this lowrider has everything to make you happy with just one look of it. To give it the appearance of an off-roader, the bumper has been changed and is supplied with two hooks that have been painted yellow. Adding more to the masculinity and beauty of the vehicle are the Maxxis 760 dual purpose tyres with wide profile.

Hotrod

Unique in itself, this lowrider looks much like a hot-rod. Tailored to remain close to the ground, this modified Jeep bears an Army number and comes with smaller tyres that don't steal away the charm of the vehicle. The steering wheel, for a change, is located on the left side and instead of two seats, this lowrider comes with a bench to seat two people at a time.

Superman Jeep

The image above might clarify all your doubts as it clearly shows the difference between the size of a regular SUV and the modified lowrider Jeep in the front. The Superman Jeep has been given a retro look and the credit goes to its wide profile tyres, LED headlights and exceptionally low suspension. And what makes this rider looks different from the others in the list – it's Superman sticker on the windscreen.

Tractor Lowrider

Modified on the body of Mahindra Thar, this lowrider Jeep has got tractor wheel treads that are enormously huge in size. The vehicle has been given a silver color to projectify each of its customization, which include vertically modified exhaust pipe (like the ones you witness in a large truck) and off-road spec bumper with auxiliary lamps mounted on it.

Willy's Lowrider

This is the modified version of an original Willy that has been tailored in Punjab (must agree Punjabis are really unique!). What makes the machine look meaner is the black paint job that makes it look more aggressive and wild. Though you will witness large tyres on this lowrider, the suspension has been customized to make it look nearer to the ground.

Collapsible Windscreen Lowrider

Again yellow on board! The sunshine bright color can make every eye turn and what makes it more beautiful is its collapsible windscreen. There is no door in the vehicle and it can seat four people. Again Maxxis tyres to complement the butch and the chrome alloy wheels add more to the robustic looks.

Ghost Jeep

The LED headlights are the showstealer here, giving this black beauty the appearance of an aggressive black panther. This four passenger vehicle is an open-air one and the front metal bumper alongside chrome alloy wheels with Maxxis tyres make this lowrider really a stunner.
